SmartyPup! 205 series: Intermediate Obedience Training

Drill,
Baby Drill... Transform your doggie know-how into something most
unbelievable! You'll work on perfecting your pup's (and your) basic
skills using drill exercises to accomplish your goals on heeling,
recall, focus / attention and more. 

205A - Improving and Perfecting: Heel, Stay and Come  (a prerequisite for all other Drills Classes)
205B - Distance Commands and Drop on Recall
205C - Off-leash Heeling and Focus

Limited to 6 to 8 dogs depending on location
Cost: $160. or  $185.
Duration: 4 or 5 weekly sessions

Prerequisites:
205A - Completion of Puppy 201 or equivalent
205B - Drills class--Foundation Drills class or approved equivalent
205C - Drills class--Foundation Drills class or approved equivalent

Your dog MUST meet the following criteria in order to participate in this class:

    * Dog must be able to perform the following behaviors: sit, down, stay with distance and duration and come when called. All on either a hand signal and/or verbal cue.

Example 205A :

 -Sit (verbal or hand signal)
-Down (verbal or hand signal)
-Stand (verbal or hand signal)
-Stay - at least 10-20 seconds while you walk away from the dog
-Come (basic recall under some distraction)
-Heeling
(left side heel position)
-Watch and Hand Targeting are helpful, but will be reviewed in class .

   * Owner must have basic understanding of positive reinforcement
training methods and basic understanding of obedience postion hand
signals:

* Must be 7 months or older.

* Dogs must not be reactive on leash towards people or dogs.

Classes are offered once per quarter
