About

Puppyhood is precious—and fleeting. SmartyPup! Day Camp is built to make that window count: every day shapes who your puppy becomes—confident in the city, socially skilled with dogs and humans, and able to settle calmly at home.

Yes, it’s joyful. It’s puppies! But it’s not a free-for-all. We combine intelligent play with behavior science: structured enrichment builds confidence, guided social time teaches communication, and real-world problem-solving builds resilience.

This isn’t “obedience training.” It’s developmental immersion—helping your puppy navigate the world with optimism, focus, and emotional regulation. And we coach the humans, too, so the progress carries over at home.

Puppyhood shapes everything. We don’t waste a single day.

Scheduled Activities

A Day At Puppy Camp (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)

No two camp days run on the exact same clock—because no two puppy groups do. What stays consistent is our rhythm: Play → Learn → Settle → Rest → Repeat. We flex timing based on the puppies’ age, energy, weather, and what the group needs that day. (Puppies run on biology, not clock time.)

The Camp Rhythm (in blocks)...

  • Arrival + Social Warm-Up — Supervised hellos, good-morning greetings, and play to start the day regulated and socially connected.
  • Play + Learning Cycles — Short, positive training games layered into real life—bite-inhibition foundations, polite greetings, check-ins, body handling practice, and early “good choices” around distractions.
  • Settle Time (Crate Chill) — Puppies take a break in their comfy crate with a chew to practice self-soothing, relaxing, and settling in a busy room—even if they don’t fall asleep. This is how we build the “I can chill while life happens” habit.
  • Group Rejuvenation Nap #1 (Deep Rest) — A longer rest period so puppies can fully recharge and process learning.
  • Midday Reset: Potty + Playful Learning — Potty break + short training sessions, rotating between play, learning, and calm time—because puppies learn best in small, successful reps.
  • Settle Time + Alone-Time Practice — A second calm block (crate settling / chew time / brief alone-time reps) to build independence and reduce overstimulation.
  • Group Rejuvenation Nap #2 (As Needed) — A second nap when the group needs it—sometimes earlier, sometimes later.
  • Wind-Down + Pickup Routine — Wake-up, potty break, and end-of-day transitions, including a quick Pup-Parent–Teacher mini-conference when time allows.

What we do all day...

  • Providing daily positive training, structure/routine, and developmentally appropriate socialization experiences
  • Implementing your puppy’s behavioral health support plan, adjusting in real time as needed
  • Tracking progress and sharing insights about your puppy’s learning style and needs
  • Communicating wins, patterns, and next steps—so you’re included in the learning process (with simple at-home guidance)

Why we do it this way...

Puppies don’t learn manners when they’re overtired or over-aroused. Settle Time and naps aren’t breaks from play - they’re part of the training. This rhythm builds confidence, emotional regulation, and habits that transfer to your home
