Sheelah Gullion, CPDT-KA
Sheelah is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed, AKC Canine Good Citizen and Star Puppy Evaluator, Pet First Aid Certified, has completed the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Foundations course, and is a Certified Canine Conditioning Coach.
Sheelah is currently providing one-on-one training, teaching group classes at SmartyPup! and is also a SmartyPup! Dayschool trainer.
A self-confessed behavior nerd, Sheelah is interested in why dogs do the things they do. Sheelah and her third adopted Rhodesian ridgeback, Jabu, have earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen title, novice and intermediate Trick Dog titles, and have experimented with lure coursing, agility, nose work, tracking, and canine conditioning. Jabu initially struggled with pretty severe separation anxiety, leading Sheelah to learn how to resolve this issue.
Sheelah volunteers with Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue, Inc. and as a dedicated raw feeder, she keeps current with the latest science-based health info for dogs.
Sheelah is a Pet Professional Guild (PPG) member and regularly contributes articles to the guild’s magazine, BARKS from the Guild.
